ABOUT PEACE OF MIND

The Peace of Mind Foundation is a 5013C non-profit organization whose mission is to help improve the quality of life of OCD sufferers and caregivers through education, research, support, and advocacy; including the subsidization of treatment costs for sufferers without means.  Founded by the Linda and Jim McIngvale family at the behest of their daughter, Elizabeth, 100% of all outside donations received support the Foundation's mission to educate, support, and subsidize treatment options for OCD sufferers and their families.

PEACE OF MIND FOUNDATION ACCOMPLISHMENTS

  • 2006 - 2009 - Provides nearly one million dollars in treatment scholarship subsidies to OCD sufferers

  • 2006 - 2009 - Provides sponsorship for "x" numbers of OCD sufferers and caregivers to attend the annual conferences held by the Obsessive Compulsive Foundation (Now International OCD Foundation).

  • 2006  - Underwrites the annual conference of the Obsessive Compulsive Foundation in Houston, Texas.

  • 2006 - 2009 - Runs the Houston OCD Support Group - one of the largest OCD suppport groups in the country.

PEACE OF MIND FOUNDATION 2010 PLANNED INITIATIVES

  • Funding of a self-help website for OCD sufferers.

  • Expand impact of treatment scholarship dollars through the development of an online intensive outpatient therapy network of treatment providers.

  • Creation and promotion of the Elizabeth McIngvale Seminar Series to promote education and awareness of OCD.
